All inquiries you have received for an advertised property are saved in your BoligPortal user profile, even if the property is marked as rented out.

All inquiries are saved until you choose to re-advertise the property via BoligPortal. If you reactivate a listing that is more than 6 months old, previous inquiries are automatically deleted when the listing becomes active again.


What happens to previous messages when the listing is reactivated?

Whether your old inquiries for a rental listing are deleted when re-advertising on BoligPortal depends on when the listing was last active.

Was the listing last active less than 6 months ago?

If it has been less than six months since the last listing, it may still be relevant for you to contact the prospective tenants who previously showed interest in the property. Therefore, all inquiries you received in connection with the previous listing are retained.

Was the listing last active 6 or more months ago?

If it has been six or more months since the property was last listed through BoligPortal, all previous inquiries for the rental property will disappear when the listing becomes active again on BoligPortal.

This is because the prospective tenants who showed interest in your property at that time are likely to have found another rental property in the intervening period.


Where are my old messages?

When your rental property has been advertised through BoligPortal and then marked as rented out, the messages will no longer appear under the 'Inbox' menu item. Instead, you need to find the conversations under the specific rental property in your BoligPortal user profile.

If you are logged into BoligPortal in a browser, follow the steps below to find messages for a rented-out property:

  1. Click on 'Advertised rentables' in the blue menu in the left side of the screen.

  2. Select the 'Rented out' tab.

  3. Find the rental property you want to see inquiries for. Under the 'Messages' column, there will typically be a '0'. The number indicates how many unread messages you have received for the listing. If you click on the number, you will be taken to an inbox that exclusively shows the messages you have received for that specific rental property.
