Can I temporarily close my rental listing?

Have more questions? Submit a request

You always have the option to close for further inquiries by marking your rental as reserved.

When a rental is marked as reserved, your rental property will only be visible to the property seekers who have already contacted you.

This way, you have time to review the inquiries you have already received.

How to mark a rental property as reserved

  1. Log in and then click on your profile picture to go to your BoligPortal user profile.

  2. Click on 'Advertised rentables' in the blue menu on the left

  3. Find the desired rental, and click on the three dots.

  4. Click on 'Mark as reserved'

Note that your listing can only be marked as reserved for 14 days. If you do not reopen the listing within 14 days, its status will automatically change to rented out and will be removed from the site.

Therefore, if you already know that it will take more than 14 days before you open up for renting again, you can advantageously mark the rental as rented out, so property seekers do not wait unnecessarily long for a response. When you are ready to rent again, simply click on 'Advertise rental' again.

Don't want to receive calls anymore?

If you want to pause the listing because you have received many calls, you can also edit the contact information in the listing so that your phone number is no longer visible to the property seekers.

Read here to learn how to remove the phone number from the listing.

New date for advertising after 31 days

If the rental property has been marked as rented out for more than 31 days, it will automatically receive a new date for advertising. However, if fewer than 31 days have passed, the advertising date will remain the same as before.

In practice, this means that if you mark your rental property as rented out on January 1st, it will receive a new date when you re-advertise the rental property on February 2nd.

Alternatively, a promotion would be a good idea to use.
