In the rental contract, the landlord can specify who is responsible for the interior and exterior maintenance of the property during the rental period. If the rental contract does not describe who has the maintenance obligation, the general rules of the Danish Rent Act apply.
According to the Rent Act, the tenant is only obligated to maintain keys and locks.
