BoligPortal is a platform for housing advertisements that connects tenants with landlords.
To maintain fair and credible housing rental for all users, we work with clear guidelines and rules defining the types of ads not allowed on the platform.
It is not allowed to advertise:
- Property sales and exchanges
- Separate parking spaces
- Commercial premises or properties
- Allotment gardens, caravans or vacation homes on a daily or weekly basis
- Lease periods of less than 1 monthRentals not approved for residential use
- Properties that are not genuinely available for rent
Your ad text must not contain:
- Phone numbers, email addresses, or any other direct contact information
- Information that violates the above rules and guidelines
- Information that contradicts the Rent Act or other Danish legislation
- Information that contradicts the information provided in the ad details
When choosing a tenant, it is not allowed to:
- Demand counter-services as a condition for rent or in exchange for reduced rent
- Demand additional expenses that violate the Rent Act, including for pets or stair cleaning
- Discriminate based on gender, ethnicity, sexuality, and/or religious beliefs
All housing ads and landlords are validated before being published on BoligPortal. If you attempt to create a housing ad that falls under one or more of these categories, the ad will not be approved.
Our validation team will contact you if your ad violates BoligPortal's rules and guidelines.

Can I sell my house on BoligPortal?
No, it is not allowed to sell your home through BoligPortal. We are exclusively an advertising platform for renting out private residential leases. Read more here.
Can I rent out my home that is for sale?
Yes, you can advertise your rental on BoligPortal, even if it is for sale. However, the lease period must be a maximum of 3 months at a time, and you must clearly indicate in the ad title and text that the property is for sale. Read more here.
Can I swap my home on BoligPortal?
No, ads for home exchanges, where two parties want to exchange their homes, are not allowed on BoligPortal. The platform is solely for renting out homes.
Can I advertise and rent out a parking space separately on BoligPortal?
No, it is not allowed to separately advertise and rent out parking spaces on BoligPortal. However, you may rent out a parking space in connection with renting out your residential lease for a fixed monthly rent. It must not be a requirement and must always be cancellable independently of the lease. Read more here.
Can I advertise and rent out commercial premises on BoligPortal?
No, it is not allowed to advertise and rent out commercial properties or commercial premises on BoligPortal. You cannot rent out leases exclusively for use as a store, office, showroom, clinic, or similar through us.
However, it is allowed to rent out residential leases with associated commercial premises – for example, if there are store or clinic premises directly connected to the residence. However, you must not include the commercial premises' square meters in your ad. Read more here
Can I advertise and rent out my vacation home, summer residence, caravan or allotment house on BoligPortal?
You can only rent out your vacation home or leisure home under special conditions. They must be rented out as temporary homes for residence, for example, as transitional homes or for relocation.
It is not allowed to rent out allotment gardens or caravans on BoligPortal.
Special conditions for renting out vacation and leisure homes:
- The rental period must be a minimum of 1 month, and the specific period must be stated in the ad text.
- There must be a fixed lease agreement with a contract and monthly rent.
- It must be clearly stated in the ad text and title that it is a vacation home.
- The property may be rented out for a maximum of 3 months in the winter half-year.
- The property may be rented out for a maximum of 6 months in the summer half-year, if CPR registration is possible.
Can I rent out my home on a daily or weekly basis on BoligPortal?
Renting out for periods of less than one month with a fixed monthly rent is not allowed on BoligPortal. We are exclusively an advertising medium for the rental of permanent residences.
Can I offer lower rent in exchange for my tenant performing work or duties in the home?
No, it is not allowed to demand any form of consideration in connection with renting out your lease – either in exchange for reduced rent or as a requirement for renting the property. There must be no expectation of, for example, cleaning, childcare, gardening, refurbishment, or renovation beyond normal maintenance from the tenant.
Particularly inappropriate or personal considerations, such as of a physical or sexual nature, will result in immediate eviction without compensation.
Can I seek a tenant of a specific gender, sexuality, ethnicity, or religious belief on BoligPortal?
No, it is not allowed to include requirements that you only rent to individuals of a specific gender, sexuality, ethnicity, or religion in your ad text or in the dialogue with tenants on BoligPortal.

Can I advertise and rent out a property which is not approved for residential use on BoligPortal?
No, it is not allowed to advertise or rent out a property not approved for residential use through BoligPortal. All advertised properties on our platform must be approved for residence and meet all relevant health and safety standards.
