Note: In this guide, it is stated that you can collect rent automatically via MobilePay. Please be aware that as of March 12, 2024, it is no longer possible to create new payment agreements with MobilePay due to a change in MobilePay's terms and conditions.
Therefore, all information about automatic rent collection with MobilePay is only relevant for landlords who have set up a payment agreement before March 12, 2024.
If you have chosen to use automatic rent collection via MobilePay, your tenant must approve the payment agreement in their MobilePay app.
If the tenant does not do this or rejects the agreement, the payment agreement will not go through, and the automatic collection will therefore be stopped.
In this case, you will see this message under the rent overview for your tenant:
Would you still like to collect rent via MobilePay?
If the tenant accidentally rejected the payment agreement, you can always resend the registration link by clicking the 'Send new registration link' button.
Is the rejection due to incorrect contact information for your tenant?
If the tenant was unable to approve the agreement because they never received the approval request via email and SMS, it may be due to incorrect tenant information.
In this case, you need to correct the tenant’s email address and/or phone number under the tenancy before resending the registration link.
Are you unsure how the tenant can register for your automatic rent collection after you have sent a new registration link in MobilePay? You can read more about the process in this guide.
Once the tenant has successfully registered for the payment agreement again, the payment will occur automatically, and you, as the landlord, can continue to monitor the rent overview for the tenancy on BoligPortal.
