Can my tenant pay their deposit and prepaid rent through BoligPortal?

Currently, one-time payments through your rent collect via MobilePay*, such as transferring a deposit or prepaid rent from your tenant, are not possible.

*Note: Please be aware that it is no longer possible to create new payment agreements with MobilePay. This is due to changes in MobilePay's terms. It is only possible to use MobilePay for automatic rent collection if you have created the payment agreement before March 12, 2024.

We recommend that you instruct your tenant to transfer these amounts via bank transfer instead.

If you use BoligPortal's free digital rental contracts, you can include this information in the document, allowing the tenant to easily transfer the correct amounts to you before moving in.

Please note that it is possible to add a one-time amount to an existing rent collect through BoligPortal, but this is solely intended for adding or offsetting amounts related to rent collection – not for transferring a deposit or prepaid rent.

If you use BoligPortal to collect rent and receive the deposit and prepaid rent via bank transfer, we recommend that you enter the paid amounts in the 'Prepayments' section under the relevant tenancy.

You can also make an internal note in the 'Notes' section with information about the payment.

This way, you can easily keep track of what the tenant has paid.
