Can I attach more tenants to the same rent collection?

Although you have the option to add multiple tenants to the same rental when you create a rent collection via BoligPortal, it is currently not possible to split the rent – that is, the total monthly amount – between these tenants.

However, how you proceed depends somewhat on the collection method you use.

How to proceed if more than one tenant need to pay rent at the same address

If you wish to collect rent manually via bank transfer

When you set up a rent collection on BoligPortal, you need to choose manual reconciliation and payment via bank transfer and add all the tenants who will be living in the rental at the end of the setup.

After this, you can agree among yourselves whether each tenant will transfer their portion of the rent directly to you, or if one tenant will be responsible for the transfer, with the tenants handling the internal distribution themselves.

If you wish to collect rent via Betalingsservice

When you set up a rent collection on BoligPortal, you need to choose automatic collection via Betalingsservice and add all the tenants who will be living in the rental at the end of the setup.

After this, your tenants will receive information about signing up for PBS via email and/or SMS. However, only one of these tenants can sign up for the payment, after which the remaining tenants must handle the transfer internally among themselves.

If you wish to collect rent automatically via MobilePay*

When you set up a rent collection on BoligPortal, you need to choose automatic collection via MobilePay and add all the tenants who will be living in the rental at the end of the setup.

After this, your tenants will receive information about signing up for MobilePay via email and/or SMS through their MobilePay app. However, only one of these tenants can sign up for the payment, after which the remaining tenants must handle the transfer internally among themselves.
