What does it mean when an ad is reserved?

When the landlord marks their property as reserved, it means the landlord is closing new inquiries in their inbox. This could either mean that the landlord is in the process of closing a deal with a tenant or that the landlord needs to pause the listing if, for example, they have received a large number of applications for the rental.

You can only see a reserved property if you have already contacted the landlord. This also means that new seekers can no longer contact the landlord.

While the property is marked as reserved, the landlord will typically be in the process of finding a new tenant through the messages. If you have already contacted the landlord, you will still be able to communicate with them.

Once the landlord has found a tenant, the property will be marked as rented out. If you are not the lucky tenant, you will no longer be able to contact the landlord.

A reserved rental will have a yellow banner on the listing with the text: "The rental has been marked as reserved by the landlord. It may become available again if the chosen tenant regrets."
