When you use BoligPortal’s digital rental contracts, the contract is automatically sent for digital signature via email and SMS.
Therefore, you don’t need to do anything yourself to send your rental contract for the tenant’s signature, apart from filling out the contract through your BoligPortal profile and sending it for signature by clicking 'Send til underskrift'.
Note: Digital rental contracts on BoligPortal are exclusively offered in Danish, which is why images and some words in this guide appear in Danish.
How to send the rental contract for digital signature by the tenant
- Fill in your digital rental contract in BoligPortal's rental contract builder
In the final step of the rental contract builder, under 'Gennemse og færdiggør', you can choose whether the tenant should sign with a digital signature (typically using MitID) or by manually writing their signature on the screen, for example with their finger on a phone.
The rental contract cannot be signed physically.
- Click on 'Send til underskrift' – either at the bottom of the left-hand column or at the bottom of the 'Gennemse og færdiggør' tab
- Confirm that your and the tenant's information is correct by clicking on 'Send til underskrift' once again
Your tenant will then automatically receive an email and SMS with a link to sign the rental contract.
As soon as you have sent the rental contract for the tenant’s signature, you will automatically be taken to the contract overview for the specific tenancy, where you will get a complete overview of your rental contract.
For example, you can see when you created the rental contract and who still needs to sign. You can also sign the rental contract yourself from here by clicking on 'Underskriv [your email address]' under your name.
Once all parties have signed the rental contract, a check icon will automatically appear next to 'Underskrevet' with specific information about the signatures.
You will also automatically receive an email notification when the tenant has signed the rental contract.
