If you do not wish to sign up for electricity through your rental contract, you can easily opt out of the offered electricity companies and proceed to sign the rental contract.
You will see this box if your landlord has specified that you need to sign up with an electricity company yourself.
The electricity companies collaborate with BoligPortal to offer new tenants an electricity agreement. This way, you are signed up for electricity from the day you move in. The registration is completely automatic, so you don't need to contact the electricity company yourself
It is optional whether you want to accept the offer of electricity registration. There is free choice of electricity providers in Denmark, so the decision is up to you as a tenant.

How to proceed without signing up for electricity
To proceed to the rental contract you have received without signing up for an electricity company, you need to follow the steps below.
- Click on the link with the blue text 'Show other options'
You will then see the complete list of available electricity companies, as well as the option to opt out of electricity registration. -
Click the button next to the last option on the list, 'Don't sign me up'
- Click on the orange button with the text 'Continue'
You will now proceed to the rental contract, which you can review and sign digitally.
If the landlord has chosen an electricity company on your behalf
If your landlord has signed you up with an electricity company, you will be asked to provide your CPR number before you can access the rental contract and view the power of attorney that is forwarded to the selected electricity company.
If you do not want to sign up with the electricity company chosen by the landlord, you need to contact your landlord. It will be necessary for the landlord to cancel the rental contract and send it again.
