How do I register as a public housing association as a landlord?

Have more questions? Submit a request

As a public housing association or social housing company, you can certainly advertise your available housing on BoligPortal, as long as the housing you advertise does not have a current waiting list.

Furthermore, you are allowed to require that prospective tenants are members of your housing association to be considered for the housing.

If you wish to be formally registered as a housing association, simply contact us at B2B@boligportal.dk and describe your social housing association.

As a registered housing association on BoligPortal, you will also have the option to specify your housing’s prepaid charges as a housing deposit instead of a security deposit, which is otherwise the standard format when creating your listing.

Important information when advertising public housing on BoligPortal

It is important that prospective tenants experience that the housing advertised on BoligPortal is genuinely available without a waiting list.

If you, as a housing association, use membership fees and any waiting list, it is therefore a requirement that you include this in the advertisement text on the individual rentals.

You may find it useful to use the following wording or add your own:

"To rent this housing, you must be a member of the housing association. Only genuinely available housing without an existing waiting list at the time of advertising is listed on BoligPortal."
