When you rent out your property through BoligPortal, you have the option to create a tenancy – meaning you can link one or more tenants to your rental property.
You can view all your existing tenancies and create new ones under the 'Tenancies' tab on your profile.
By linking tenancies to your rental, such as when you use our free digital rental contracts, moving inspection reports, or rent collection services through BoligPortal, you can easily and securely keep track of your tenants and all related rental documents.
You can create tenancies for all your rental properties. At least one tenancy agreement must be registered for a property if you want to set up rent management via BoligPortal.
How to create and manage your tenancy agreements on BoligPortal
Under the 'Tenancies' tab, you have an overview of all registered tenancy agreements and their specific rental details, including move-in date, rent, deposit, and prepaid rent.
How to create a new tenancy
You can create new tenancies by clicking '+ Create Tenancy' at the top of the page.
When you create a tenancy, you simply need to link the tenant to one of your rental properties and then fill in all the fields in the creation form.
Regarding the move-out date: This is optional and only relevant for fixed-term rentals where a move-out date has been agreed upon.
Regarding CPR number: It is only legal to record the tenant’s CPR number if you have a legitimate purpose for doing so – for example, in connection with electricity contract registration. Read more about electricity registration via BoligPortal here.
Multiple tenants? If you have more than one tenant, simply click on '+ Add tenant' to link additional people to the tenancy.
How to manage your tenancy agreements
If you wish to make changes to a specific tenancy, simply click on the tenant's name in the list under 'Tenancies' on your profile. This will take you to a page for the specific tenancy.
Here, you can edit or enter all details about your tenant.
You can create or view an existing rental contract under the 'Rental contracts' tab, a move-in inspection report under the 'Moving reports' tab, and manage the tenant's rent under the 'Rent' tab.
Overview
In the overview of your tenancy, you will find various sections where you can enter information related to the tenancy.
Rent and other fixed payments
Here, you can specify the tenant's rent amount. Clicking on 'Go to rent →' will take you to the 'Rent' tab, where you can adjust amounts, reconcile, stop, and regulate the rent.

Prepayments
For your own overview, you can note what the tenant has paid in deposit and prepaind rent. This makes it easier for you when the tenant eventually moves out of the rental.
Dates
Here, you can record the date the tenant moved into the rental. If you have a fixed-term rental agreement or the tenant has terminated the lease, you can also note the move-out date.
Tenants
Here, you have an overview of the tenant(s) living in your rental. This allows you to easily find the tenant's contact information if needed.
If one or more tenants move in or out during the rental period — e.g., if the tenant’s partner moves in and needs to be listed as a co-tenant — you can always edit or remove existing tenants by clicking 'Edit' or add more tenants by clicking '+ Add tenant'.
If you wish to delete the entire tenancy — including all tenants linked to the rental, along with all associated data and documents — you must click 'Delete tenancy' at the bottom of the page.
Notes
If you need to attach notes or comments to the tenancy, e.g., to document special agreements or warnings, you can write them in the notes field.
