All inquiries you have received for a listed property are saved on your BoligPortal user profile, even if the property is marked as rented.
However, if you reactivate a listing – meaning you relist one of your saved rental properties – that is more than 6 months old, your previous inquiries will be deleted once the listing becomes active again.
Where can I find my old messages?
When your rental property has been advertised through BoligPortal and then marked as rented out, the messages will no longer appear under the 'Messages' menu, where you usually find all inquiries for your active listings.
Instead, you need to find the conversations under the specific rental property in your BoligPortal profile.
- Go to the 'Advertised rentables' section in the blue menu and select the 'Rented out' tab
- Find the relevant rental property and click on the small box with a number under the 'Messages' tab.
The number, which is typically '0', indicates how many unread messages you have received for the listing. If you click on the number, you will be taken to an inbox that exclusively shows the messages you have received for that specific rental property.
When you click on the box, the inbox for the specific listing will open automatically. Here, you will find all the inquiries you received while the listing was active.
What happens to previous messages when the listing is reactivated?
Whether your old inquiries on a rental listing are deleted when the listing is reposted on BoligPortal depends on when the listing was last active.
- Was your listing last active less than 6 months ago?
Your messages are saved!
When the last listing was less than six months ago, it can be helpful to reach out to the home seekers who previously showed interest. Therefore, all inquiries from the previous listing will be saved. - Was the listing last active 6 months or more ago?
Your messages are deleted.
If the property has not been listed on BoligPortal for six months or longer, previous inquiries will disappear when the listing is reactivated. The home seekers have likely found another rental in the meantime.
