How do I register my tenant to an electricity plan in the move-in inspection?

Have more questions? Submit a request

When using BoligPortal’s inspection tool to manage your move-in inspections, you have the option to register your tenant for an electricity agreement directly within the inspection.

Together, you can choose an electricity provider and give consent for them to create an agreement on the tenant’s behalf, ensuring that electricity is available in the property when the tenant moves in.

This ensures that you, as the landlord, are not held responsible for the electricity bill if the tenant forgets to sign up.

The authorization is sent automatically when the inspection is completed, and there is no binding commitment for the tenant.

Note: This feature may only be used if the tenant specifically requests and agrees to be registered for an electricity agreement. You may not require or force a tenant into an electricity agreement using this method.

  1. Go to the 'Lejeroplysninger' tab and double-check that all tenant details are filled out correctly

It is very important that the information is accurate and complete, as it will be sent to the selected electricity provider along with the authorization to create the agreement.

  2. Go to the 'Tilmelding: El' tab in the inspection builder, click 'Vis andre muligheder' to view all providers, and click 'Tilmeld ' to learn more about each provider
Go to Electricity Registration in the inspection.png
When you click 'Tilmeld ', a window will open where you can read more about the provider and continue with registration. This does not register the tenant simply by clicking the link.

  3. Ask the tenant to fill out the form with their CPR number and give consent for the electricity agreement to be created by the selected provider
Fill in the authorization with CPR number for the electricity provider.png
Important: You must not fill out the form on the tenant’s behalf. To comply with current data privacy laws, the tenant must enter their CPR number and consent themselves.

The CPR number is used solely to register the electricity agreement and is transferred and stored by the provider in accordance with GDPR regulations.

  4. Complete the registration by clicking 'Tilmeld' at the bottom of the form

After that, you must complete and sign the inspection, and the registration for electricity will be automatically forwarded to the chosen provider, who will take care of the rest.

The tenant won’t need to take any further action, and the provider will automatically ensure electricity is connected when the tenant moves in.
